Dixon Baxi designed and executed an engaging new brand identity for Turkish state broadcaster TRT (in the English language). TRT World is based in Istanbul. It's remit, "to provide an alternative viewpoint on global and domestic events, challenging perceived narratives and providing a much needed new perspective on news." (Dixon Baxi).
Their aim was to help frame editorial principles, define brand strategy and develop a full identity system from fresh that would be truly global in broadcast design, confident while setting the agenda. A conservative but nonetheless bold and creative approach for TRT feels a lot like the UK news daily 'The Guardian' in it's tone, colour and use of type, they've rolled this identity out over digital format too. The marriage of bold typography, a punchy colour deployment with powerful imagery propels TRT firmly into the global news brand eco-system with the likes of Al Jazeera, BBC and CNN.
